What to Expect From Tree Removal Corpus Christi
Tree Removal Corpus Christi takes down dead, damaged and unwanted trees for homeowners in Corpus Christi and the towns around Nueces Bay and Corpus Christi Bay, from the Southside and Flour Bluff to Calallen, Padre Island and the communities across the Harbor Bridge.
Most of our work here is not the tall hardwood felling people picture from other parts of the country. It is palms killed by lethal bronzing, live oaks with a limb split by a gust off the bay, mesquite that has grown into a fence line, and hurricane-season worry about what is leaning toward the roof. Each of those calls for a different approach, so every job starts with someone looking at the tree in person.
At the visit we look at the tree first: species, lean, cracks, hollow spots, dead fronds or dead wood, and how the base and roots look. Then we look at everything the tree could hit if it moved the wrong way: the house, the garage, a pool screen, a fence, the neighbor's roof and the AEP Texas lines along the back lot line or the street. On Corpus Christi's flat lots a crew can often drop a tree in one piece, but on a tighter Southside lot or a bayfront yard with a pool, the same tree may have to come down in sections lowered on ropes.
We also tell you plainly when a tree is not ours to touch. Limbs in or near energized power lines are a job for AEP Texas or its line-clearance contractors, and we will point you to the utility's tree problem form. If a tree looks like it may stand in the public right-of-way, or if it is part of a landscaping plan approved with a new building, we suggest you check with the City of Corpus Christi before anyone cuts.
After the visit you get a written quote. It lists each tree, what will be done to it (removal, sectional removal, trimming, stump grinding), what happens to the wood and brush, and the price. Nothing is cut until you approve it, and any change in scope gets agreed with you before the work changes.
What to expect on the day
- The work area is set up before the first cut, with drop zones kept away from roofs, pool cages and cars.
- Limbs that cannot be dropped are lowered with ropes.
- Palm fronds, seed stalks and trunk rounds are hauled away unless you ask to keep them.
- Brush is chipped or loaded out; we do not leave it at the curb for city pickup unless you asked for that.
- Lawns and driveways are raked and blown clear before we leave.
- You pay only for work you approved in writing.
